This is my homage to a young Washingtonian who has embodied the spirits of the African American soldiers in the Civil War. He is a reenactor who can often be found at the African American Civil War Museum or walking the nearby streets of DC--fully adorned in his period uniform and ready to explain to any interested passersby any aspect of the Civil War in great detail.
